Following up on its additions to its Hong Kong cloud (which also serves China), Host Virtual adds capacity to its Indian cloud to better serve the country and the overall Asia region.
To meet increasing customer demand, leading cloud-based hosting service Host Virtual increased the capacity of its India datacenter. These improvements are available to its users immediately.
The datacenter, based in Chennai (formerly known as Madras) connects to local peers in the country. Though the datacenter primarily serves the growing number of Indian internet users, it’s also strategically placed on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal to serve the rest of Asia with Tier 1 connectivity. The carriers Host Virtual works with have extensive peering & connectivity agreements for low latency access within and outside of the country.
“As one of the emerging powers on the globe, we’ve seen explosive growth in India, We need to keep on top of our upgrades to serve the country’s users in the best way possible,” Kris Slevens, director of customer experience, said. “Our customers know that they can deploy virtual servers to our Indian cloud in moments to better handle their needs in the country as well as the rest of Asia, and that it’ll just work.”
Slevens added that with a population of 1.2 billion people, India is its own market and that if you or your company does business there, Host Virtual suggests having a presence in its cloud.
In addition, Host Virtual recently beefed up its capacity and data connectivity at its Hong Kong cloud location which also serves China. These upgrades put the hosting service in a position to better serve the needs of its customers in two of the fastest-growing online markets in the world. The company has also been aggressively refining the service its North American and European clouds offer.
Host Virtual offers BGP Anycast, load balancing, and worldwide CDN support with its cloud hosting infrastructure as a service, or IaaS. Over 300 operating system templates can be deployed by the company’s customers to its data centers that utilize native dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 support.
