Santa Monica, Calif (PRWEB) September 09, 2014
Featuring connectivity to Australia and New Zealand, Host Virtual adds Sydney to its worldwide cloud.
Host Virtual, a leader in cloud hosting, IaaS (or infrastructure as a service) and BGP/Anycast solutions, opened its 17th datacenter in Sydney, Australia.
The location offers excellent connectivity to Australia and New Zealand, Kris Slevens, director of customer experience, said. The company’s American customers expressed interest in a new datacenter in the region to better serve the region.
“Asia and Europe have been experiencing amazing traffic and growth and the same can be said with most of the world. However, in this case our customers saw traffic coming from Australia and New Zealand and specifically requested that we enhance our network coverage for this region,” Slevens added.
The datacenter features local Australia and New Zealand connectivity via local transit and peering. It will be available to Host Virtual’s Anycast customers.
In addition to Sydney, Host Virtual will beef up the network capacity of its European locations and increased the service in its Paris and Hong Kong sites.
In addition to cloud hosting and BGP/Anycast services, Host Virtual offers load balancing, and worldwide CDN support with its cloud hosting infrastructure as a service, or IaaS. Over 500 operating system templates can be deployed by the company’s customers to its data centers that utilize native dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 support.
