New location is Host Virtual’s fourth in Asia and complements existing locations.
With a presence in India, Hong Kong and Australia, Host Virtual brought its latest data center in Singapore online to serve one of the most connected Southeast Asian countries and its surrounding areas.
The datacenter will be housed in Epsilon's New Tech Park, which is also a co-location facility for carriers on Epsilon's eConnect Exchange, a prime location for others who are servicing the European and Asian markets. The facility has access to about 500 carriers, in addition to cooling and advanced plant options. It will also connect to Equinix’s Singapore locations, which is a leading point of access to one of the world’s global roaming exchange points, allowing mobile data providers quicker access to more than 190 network providers.
“Singapore leads Southeast Asia when it comes to Internet penetration. It’s situated in a strategic point that can access the growing markets in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand,” said Kris Slevens, Director of Host Virtual’s customer experience. “Our Singapore datacenter will elevate our customers’ connections into Asia at large, as well as lower latency for deployments to the area.”
Deployment to this datacenter may be restricted initially to Host Virtual’s BGP Anycast customers and its existing customers.
