Responding to increased interest for its plans in Europe, Host Virtual added capacity to its data centers in London, Amsterdam and Paris. The upgrades are complete and are available to the cloud hosting company’s customers immediately.
“In many cases, we anticipate that the upgraded facilities will be used for replication between sites for high availability and failover, since they provide low latency access to each other, yet are diverse geographically,” Host Virtual Senior Vice President Sandy Bhargavi said. “Providing reliable cloud services for our customers requires constant improvements and additions to our data centers around the world.”
Host Virtual in the EU provides unique and diverse deployment options for customers, who can deploy their services to all three countries, rather than just one — which is common with competing cloud services.
In addition to direct physical presence in each city, the company is a member of LINX (the London Internet Exchange), AMSIX (the Amsterdam Internet Exchange) and France-IX (the French internet exchange). Host Virtual’s membership to these internet exchanges allows its customers faster access to users.
