Canceling a VM

When you no longer need a virtual machine, you can cancel it from the NetActuate Customer Portal. Canceling a VM permanently removes it from your account and stops all associated billing.

How to Cancel a VM

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Virtual Machines.
  2. Click on the VM you want to cancel.
  3. Go to the Tools tab.
  4. Click Cancel.
  5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.

Note: Canceling a VM is irreversible. All data stored on the VM, including its primary disk, will be permanently deleted. Make sure you have backed up any important data before canceling.

What Happens After Cancellation

  • The VM is destroyed and removed from your Virtual Machines list
  • The assigned IP address is released back to the pool
  • Billing for the VM stops at the end of the current billing period
  • Any associated block storage volumes are not automatically deleted and must be removed separately if no longer needed
