Cloud VLANs

Cloud VLANs in the portal are NetActuate-managed global VLANs — not additional network cards or self-managed VLANs. Self-managed VLANs may be available depending on your contract and service level; contact your account manager for details.

Navigate to Platform → Cloud VLANs to view your VLANs.

VLAN Table

The table displays:

  • VLAN ID — a globally reserved identifier, consistent across all NetActuate locations. Use this ID in API calls, Terraform, Ansible, and other automation.
  • Name — the VLAN name
  • Description — a description of the VLAN's purpose
  • Locations — the locations where the VLAN is currently active

VLAN Sidebar

Click any VLAN to open the sidebar, which shows:

  • Provisioned locations — locations where the VLAN is currently active
  • Non-provisioned locations — locations where the VLAN can be requested. Select a location and click Request provisioning to submit a pre-filled support ticket. The NetActuate operations team will enable the VLAN in that location.

VLAN Management

VLAN creation and configuration is handled by NetActuate. Customers can view their VLANs and request provisioning in new locations through the portal support ticket flow.

For step-by-step instructions, see the How-To Guide.
