Canceling Bare Metal

When you no longer need a bare metal server, you can cancel it from the NetActuate Customer Portal. Canceling permanently removes the server from your account and stops all associated billing.

How to Cancel​

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Bare Metal.
  2. Click on the server you want to cancel.
  3. Go to the Tools tab.
  4. Click Cancel.
  5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.

Note: Canceling a bare metal server is irreversible. All data stored on the server will be permanently lost. Make sure you have backed up any important data before canceling.

What Happens After Cancellation​

  • The server is decommissioned and removed from your Bare Metal list
  • The assigned IP addresses are released
  • Billing for the server stops at the end of the current billing period
  • The physical hardware is reclaimed by NetActuate
