Launch a live, private 42-minute demo of Norsk Studio on the NetActuate edge - on demand, no signup, no card.

Norsk Studio (id3as) is the flagship visual environment for building and editing live media workflows. Deployed from the NetActuate marketplace it installs the way the official norsk-ctl installer does: norsk-ctl runs a TLS terminated reverse proxy in front of the Norsk Studio product container and serves the Studio console on HTTPS port 443. Sign in as admin with the password you seed at deploy. This appliance wraps the official norskvideo/norsk-studio-product image on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with Docker. BYOL: supply your Norsk license and it is staged where norsk-ctl expects it and the Studio product is registered at first boot. Companion to the Norsk (Engine) appliance.

Frequently asked questions

How do I deploy Norsk Studio on NetActuate?

Use the Deploy on NetActuate button to talk to our team. We provision Norsk Studio on a NetActuate virtual machine in the point of presence you choose, close to your audience. Each deployment runs in the single location you select.

What does it cost to run Norsk Studio?

Norsk Studio is a bring-your-own-license (BYOL) appliance: you supply your own license from id3as (Norsk), and it is applied securely when the appliance first boots. On top of that you pay only NetActuate's standard compute rates for the virtual-machine size and point of presence you choose - NetActuate adds no usage-based or per-hour software fees.

Where can Norsk Studio run?

Norsk Studio can be deployed in any of NetActuate's 45+ points of presence across every continent, so you can place ingest, transcode, delivery and caching close to your contributors and viewers.

Who supports Norsk Studio?

NetActuate operates and supports the underlying infrastructure - the virtual machine, network and edge platform. The application itself is supported by its vendor, id3as (Norsk).
