NetActuate and NETINT Deliver Global VPU-Accelerated Infrastructure
Launch NETINT Quadra VPUs on NetActuate's global platform for encoding, decoding, and transcoding workloads. Attach a VPU in the VM deployment flow, run open source pipelines, and move from pilot to production with a partner that can support public cloud, private cloud, managed Kubernetes, bare metal, and custom deployments.

Ideal for teams needing efficient, high-density encoding and transcoding without long hardware cycles, and for piloting in cloud-like environments before scaling to dedicated infrastructure.

NETINT Quadra VPUs are purpose-built video processing units designed for high-density encoding, decoding, and transcoding. Unlike CPUs or GPUs, VPUs are optimized specifically for video workloads, enabling support for AV1, HEVC, and H.264 while delivering significantly lower power consumption and higher stream density. On NetActuate, VPUs can be attached directly to virtual machines and used with FFmpeg workflows for production-grade streaming and transcoding.
You can deploy a VPU-enabled VM directly from the NetActuate portal by selecting your preferred location, choosing a VM size, and enabling accelerators during setup. Simply select the NETINT Quadra option, and the VPU is attached to your instance. From there, you can run FFmpeg-based pipelines and begin testing or scaling video workloads immediately.
NETINT Quadra VPUs deliver up to 10x lower total cost of ownership, significantly higher stream density, and up to 80% lower power consumption.” To: “NETINT Quadra VPUs deliver 10-40x lower total cost of ownership, significantly higher stream density, and up to 80% lower power consumption.
Yes. NETINT Quadra VPUs are fully compatible with FFmpeg and other open source tooling making it easy to integrate into existing video pipelines. Developers and media teams can quickly test, validate, and deploy VPU-accelerated workflows without re-architecting their encoding stack, enabling faster proof-of-value and seamless transition to production.
VPU-enabled infrastructure is ideal for video-intensive applications such as live streaming, video-on-demand (VOD) transcoding, cloud gaming, surveillance, and media SaaS platforms. It is especially valuable for teams evaluating AV1 adoption, optimizing streaming costs, or scaling globally without committing to large upfront hardware investments.
