NetActuate is proud to be a Standard Member of OpenMOQ, the community advancing Media over QUIC (MOQ). MOQ is a next-generation, QUIC-based protocol designed for scalable, low-latency object delivery across the internet.
NetActuate has a long-standing commitment to open source and open standards. Through our partnership with Quortex and other leading media and broadcast companies, our engineering efforts have extended to include MOQ. Together, these brought us to OpenMOQ. As our Anycast platform, which powers over 60% of top level domains, attests, we believe the foundational layers of the internet should be built in the open. Shared protocols and open implementations give the whole industry a common base. Vendors compete on service, not lock-in. Broadcasters and streaming platforms gain choice, interoperability, and a faster path to adoption.
We are applying MOQ to our portfolio through NetActuate MOQ Relay to address key use cases like C-band Transition. We place managed MOQ relays on our own global infrastructure, in the locations where you deliver. You publish once. Subscribers pull from the closest relay. Because we run the network between relays, degrading paths get routed around rather than reported. As we learn through internal engineering and customer testing, we’re contributing upstream via Relay Devs to improve MOQ for everyone.
Over the last 10 years, NetActuate has grown into the world's 4th largest network by peer count. We deliver edge infrastructure, network solutions, and anycast connectivity in more than 50 locations worldwide. Customers control their workloads anywhere, with low latency, resiliency, and security built in.
