Oryx
Oryx is available in the NetActuate Marketplace as a one-click, open-source appliance you can deploy into any NetActuate PoP. All-in-one video stack: RTMP, SRT, WebRTC, HLS and DVR from one dashboard. It is grouped under the Media & Streaming category.
What It Does
Oryx (SRS Stack) is an all-in-one, out-of-the-box, open-source video solution for creating online video services, including live streaming and WebRTC, on the cloud or self-hosted. Deployed from the NetActuate marketplace it boots pre-configured from your seeded values and presents the Oryx one-click dashboard within seconds of first boot, so you can stand up a streaming service without wiring SRS, ffmpeg and a control plane by hand.
What it does
- Ingest over RTMP, SRT and WebRTC (WHIP), and pull from cameras and other sources
- Deliver over HLS and HTTP-FLV, plus low-latency WebRTC (WHEP) playback
- Transcode with the bundled ffmpeg, record and DVR to local storage, and take snapshots
- One-click features for virtual live events, transcription and restreaming, driven from the dashboard
Why run it on the NetActuate edge Place ingest and delivery close to your audience across the NetActuate global footprint, on a VM you control, with the media ports bound directly on the instance.
