Red5 Pro

Red5 Pro is Red5's commercial real-time media server, built for sub-500 millisecond WebRTC live streaming at scale, available in the NetActuate Marketplace as a bring-your-own-license (BYOL) appliance. It ingests WebRTC, RTMP, RTSP, and SRT and delivers WebRTC and HLS, with server-side clustering, mixing, and a full REST API for building interactive, low-latency experiences. Deployed from the Marketplace it boots configured from your seeded values and is ready to serve minutes after first boot in any NetActuate PoP. It is grouped under the Media & Streaming category.

What It Does

Red5 Pro powers interactive, sub-second live streaming. Common uses include:

  • Sub-500ms WebRTC live streaming at scale
  • Interactive experiences such as live auctions, betting, second-screen, and conferencing
  • Ingesting WebRTC, RTMP, RTSP, and SRT; delivering WebRTC and HLS
  • Building custom workflows with the server REST API and server-side clustering and mixing

Deploying Red5 Pro near your audience keeps real-time latency low.
