Quortex Edge is Quortex's cloud-native content delivery and edge-streaming product, delivered as "CDN on demand." Quortex, the streaming brand of Synamedia, replaces always-on, statically-provisioned delivery with a just-in-time architecture that spins resources up only while viewers are watching and frees them the moment they are not. Paired with NetActuate's global edge, Quortex Edge lets you place just-in-time delivery close to your audience across many PoPs. What It Does​

Quortex Edge delivers cloud-native, just-in-time live video at the edge. It is well suited to:

  • OTT origin and just-in-time packaging
  • Elastic edge and cache capacity that scales with active viewers

CDN on demand means edge and cache capacity is built just in time while viewers are watching and released the moment they are not, so you pay for exactly the delivery in use.

Vendor and Project​

Quortex Edge is a Quortex (Synamedia) product. This is a partner integration listing rather than a deployable image, so you engage Quortex and NetActuate to onboard rather than building a VM yourself.

NetActuate supports the underlying infrastructure and edge. The Quortex Edge platform is delivered and supported through the partner.
