Pexip Infinity Management Node
Pexip Infinity is a self-hosted, software-based video conferencing and unified communications platform that interconnects Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, SIP, H.323, and WebRTC endpoints on infrastructure you control. This appliance is the Infinity Management Node: the single control-plane VM that runs the Pexip administrator web interface, stores all platform configuration and the license, and provisions Conferencing Nodes (the media-handling workers) on demand. Available in the NetActuate Marketplace as a bring-your-own-license (BYOL) appliance, it is grouped under the Media & Streaming category.
What It Does
The Infinity Management Node is the control plane for a self-hosted Pexip Infinity deployment. It:
- Runs the Pexip administrator web interface
- Stores all platform configuration and the license
- Provisions Conferencing Nodes (the media-handling workers) on demand
- Interconnects Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, SIP, H.323, and WebRTC endpoints
You deploy this one Management Node, then generate Conferencing Nodes from its admin interface.

No VPU (hardware acceleration) is required for the Management Node. This appliance is the control-plane node; media is handled by Conferencing Nodes you provision separately from its admin interface.
Configuration Fields
When you deploy, you provide this field. It is written into the appliance at first boot. Secret fields are stored write-only in your account.

Using the Appliance
After the build completes:
- Open the admin web interface at
https://YOUR_VM_IP/admin/(port443). - On first boot the installation wizard runs here. Set the administrator password, confirm the network configuration, and apply your Pexip Infinity license. Your seeded license was delivered through the platform secret pipeline and never appears in any API response.
- Once licensed, add a system location, then provision Conferencing Nodes from the Pexip admin interface (Platform, then Conferencing Nodes). The Management Node generates and deploys each Conferencing Node on demand.
FAQ
Do I need my own license? Yes. Pexip Infinity is BYOL and runs in a limited state until licensed. Supply your license at deploy; NetActuate bills only the infrastructure and bandwidth.
Is this the whole platform? No. This is the Infinity Management Node (the control plane). You provision Conferencing Nodes (the media workers) from its admin interface after licensing.
Where is the admin interface?
At /admin/ on port 443 (HTTPS).
